LEEDs

LEED™ is one of the many facets of the Sustainability Movement and the benchmark for which "green" buildings are measured against. LEED™ is gradually becoming the standard for newly constructed and existing buildings. Additionally, LEED™ is expanding to incorporate commercial interiors, core and shell structures, homes, and neighbourhood development. As a contractor, CANA Construction recognizes that sustainability is the future and understands the need to be involved in the "green" process.

CANA Construction is a member of the Canadian Green Building Council (CaGBC) and is undertaking the responsibility of getting several of its employees LEED™ accredited. CANA Construction is currently involved in several LEED™ projects: The Calgary Courts Centre for Alberta Infrastructure and the Learning Centre for Mount Royal University, Taylor Family Digital Library, Telus World of Science, WestJet, SMART Technologies, and also completed the Crowfoot Branch for the Calgary Public Library.
