National Music Centre’s Studio Bell is the Big Winner at the CISC Awards

Studio Bell was honoured at the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) Awards on May 4, 2017. The project took home two awards, including the prestigious Steel Edge Award and Architectural Award. CANA Construction was the Construction Manager on this project, with Allied Works Architecture, Kasian Architecture, Read Jones Christoffersen and Walters Group.

A cultural institution dedicated to Canadian music, Studio Bell is an iconic piece of architecture in Canada. It is a museum, performance hall, interactive music education centre, recording studio and broadcast centre.

The buildings striking design and unique geometry have garnered the project national attention. One of the most unique features is that all of the structural elements are curved or inclined, with no two angles alike.  The complex design and construction have been recognized in the industry with various awards.

Studio Bell will allow Canadian music to be celebrated and shared and will inspire a new generation of music enthusiasts.
