Power Line Foreman


The Power Line Foreman derives his authority from and is responsible to the Supervisor - Overhead Distribution He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the following areas which encompasses overhead distribution project.

To effectively complete the responsibilities of this position, the candidate must be able to complete the following:

•Oversee Safety program in the field and ensure 100% compliance.
•Organize field crew(s) and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the relevant project which will encompass overhead, underground construction for utilities and any other specialized work for other customers.
•Scheduling of equipment, personnel and equipment.
•Liaison between CANA Utilities office concerning on site equipment and tools, maintain equipment.
•Do repairs when required.
•Keep crew members busy doing required, productive tasks.
•Organize and keep track of all paperwork related to project and crew members.
•Keep track of units and or extras on contract when required.
•Liaison between Cana Utilities office and field inspectors, ensure change orders and field portion of billing and as-builds completed.


•Journeyman Power Line Technician
•3-5 years (experience running a crew)
•ATCO PSWS (extra)
•Fortis Switching and Lock out (extra)
•Equal Potential Bonding and Grounding


•Professional conduct with both internal and external customers.
•Demonstrate a commitment to all facets of the role; working towards the achievement of the company goals and objectives.
•Awareness of policies and procedures and fellow team members within the organization.
