Field Construction Coordinator

ROLE OBJECTIVE:

The Field Construction Coordinator is responsible for the planning and coordination of various construction projects. He/she will interface with construction crews, engineers, contractors, as well as clients/owners and therefore must be able to communicate in an efficient manner. He/she will be responsible for promoting the professional image of efficiency, quality, and technical competence.

KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

Planning, scheduling, and organization of multiple construction projects which are on time and on budget, while maintaining quality, safety, and project team relationships.

To effectively complete the responsibilities of this position, the candidate must be able to complete the following:

• Design and develop construction work plans and hazard assessments
• Design and develop construction work schedules
• Design and develop construction estimates
• Design and develop project scopes of work
• Participate in onsite field trips
• Establish strong relationships with construction crews, engineers, clients/owners, contractors, and management
• Participate in meetings which detail progress reports, timelines, and issues pertaining to projects
• Assist in managing construction projects scopes, schedules and costs.
• Ensure field safety requirements are met
• Coordinate equipment and material to be used during various projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or
• Diploma of Technology in Electrical Engineering or
• Journeyman Power System Electrician
• Minimum 5 years of experience in field services
• Familiarity with various construction equipment and material
• Familiarity with construction practices
• Familiarity with structural and electrical schematics
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Excellent grasp of the English language (verbal and written)
• Excellent computer skills
• Strong interpersonal skills as there is extensive customer contact
• Knowledge of site safety practices
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Willingness to travel
• Willingness to work overtime as required
• Willingness to be on-call
